Cream Cheese Biscuits with Jam
Cream Cheese Biscuits with jam are super easy to make and can be made while in your jammies. Or, spend a few minutes the night before making the dough.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Put the following in a microwavable bowl for about 20 seconds until soft but not melted:
- 1 stick butter (yes, the real thing)
- 1- 3 oz. package cream cheese (or half of an 8-ounce)
Mix up with a fork. Add:
- 1 cup flour
Stir in the flour with a fork. Dough will be very soft. Lay a plastic bag of some sort on the counter and sprinkle it with some flour. Dump contents of bowl on the bag and use the bag to squish and squash the dough a few times. Open the bag again and sprinkle a little more flour. Now use the bag (not your hands) to shape the dough into a log about 2-1/2 to 3 inches in diameter. Slice the dough into 1/2 inch thick or so slices. Place on a cookie sheet and bake until slightly golden, about 10 minutes. Wrap the biscuits in a napkin (you will need some extras), get a plate, open the Carol Hall’s Marionberry Jam, grab the butter dish and jump back in bed. Yum!
